I'm delighted to be a part of this fabulous anthology: Romantic Times: Vegas: Book 2 with one of my favorite authors, Christina Skye--pinch me!
My contribution is, Love at the Las Vegas Bake-Off. For fans of my Apple Grove Series, this short story stars Peggy McCormack (who runs the Apple Grove Diner with her sister Kate) and US Marshal Ben Justiss, cousin to those gorgeous Garahans...the Texas Cowboys and the NYC Firefighters.
And it all started when Peggy overnights one of her mouth-watering Buttermilk Pies to a certain lawman she can't forget--US Marshal Ben Justiss. When Peggy's life is threatened after entering the Las Vegas Bake-Off, Ben begins to wonder if Peggy's lips are as sweet as her Buttermilk Pie.

Tom McNally was a mean son-of-a-bitch when riled. Widowmaker, the last bull he drew, tossed him at seven and a half seconds, then stomped him into the dirt. His broken ribs and sprained wrist need time and a place to heal while he contemplates retirement or getting back up on another bad-tempered bull, and his bull-riding friend needs a place to heal his pride and broken heart. One of their rodeo buddies, Waylon Calhoun, has a ranch with an open invitation for fellow bull-riders to stay in starkly beautiful Palo Duro Canyon, Texas. But Tom's not quite ready to work the ranch alongside his friends, and cooking and keeping house isn't quite what this cowboy is cut out for. His friends hatch a plan to sweet talk one of the local diner owners into coming down to the Second Chance Ranch to cook for them.
Emily Griffith is looking for a new start after the death of her mother, and finds it in Claude, Texas at the Peabody Diner when her car dies right in front of their help wanted sign...too bad the Peabody sisters didn't need a cook...but the waitress job will help pay the bills until she can find a job cooking. Chance walks through the door in the form of Tom McNally, a tall, dark and handsome cowboy. Emily isn't going to let him walk away before she has a chance to convince him that although her bosses at the diner may have passed up the opportunity to cook for the men at the Second Chance Ranch, but she won't. Small minded gossips and a hard-headed cowboy threaten her new life in Palo Duro Canyon, but love will triumph in this sweet tale from C.H. Admirand.

Thrilled to share my first review ~ 5 Stars ~ Sweet Romance Novella
"Wonderful novella by C H Admirand! The characters are well developed for a short story. Tom McNally, an injured rodeo cowboy meets Emily Griffith, a cook, working as a waitress to make ends meet, until she can do her dream job as cooking again. When they meet the sparks fly and in time there is a happy ending, as always in a romance story." Judy Christiana

Love At the Las Vegas Bake Off by C.H. Admirand
Peggy and her sister, Kate, run a diner in Apple Grove, Ohio. Peggy has entered the First Las Vegas Bake-Off and is determined to win. Peggy has been receiving threatening emails, but she refuses to back out of the contest. Kate (and her mom) hire the Justiss brothers to act as Peggy’s bodyguards.
U.S. Marshal Ben Justiss is the last person Peggy McCormack expects to see at the bake-off. No matter how handsome he is, Ben had his chance with her. She is not interested in him and wishes he would go away so she could focus on baking. So why does seeing him with internet cooking sensation, Sofia Stellini, make her so jealous?
***** FIVE STARS! This story is just plain fun. There is a lot of drama, some action, and just enough information about the characters to make new readers pick up previous titles in the Apple Grove series. Loved it! ***** Detra Fitch, Huntress Reviews
